TV, Melatonin, and Human Development

The BBC reports on an Italian study suggesting that watching TV may hasten puberty. It has to do with the way sitting in front of a glowing screen affects melatonin levels. (Melatonin regulates the body’s clock — maybe this is why I end up sitting glassy-eyed in front of my PowerBook until four in the morning.
